2020 Kibler Valley River Run – 38th Year

The Kibler Valley River Run is a 5-mile downriver race held annually on the head waters of the Dan River in Ararat, VA.  Classes I and II for both canoe and kayak.  Kibler Valley has an activity to match everyone’s interests whether guiding a kayak through the roaring whitewater or simply taking in the scenery of the Blue Ridge. Several hundred people gather along the headwaters of the Dan River for this event sponsored by the Red Bank Ruritan Club in Patrick County.

Saturday July 25th Registration starts at 8:30a.m. $25 per person Directions: From Mt. Airy, NC, follow Rt. 103 to Claudville, turn on Rt. 773 Ararat Highway, Turn on Kibler Valley Rd, go approximately 4.2 mile on right. From Stuart, VA follow Rt. 8, turn on Rt. 103, at Claudville turn on Rt. 773 Ararat Highway, turn on Kibler Valley Rd. go approximately 4.2 miles on right. For more information call 276-694-7190 or 276-251-7112. No pets in food prep area. Service animals allowed. Camping $20 per night (rustic).

Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. on Kibler Valley Rd. in Claudville, VA. Race starts at 12:00 Noon. Entry fee of $25. 30 Plus categories of competition. Concessions available.
